Designer Vivienne Westwood has teamed up with the English National Ballet on a campaign to rebrand costumes within their productions.

Westwood has been involved to continue the theme of mixing "modernity with tradition," clothes from her previous couture collections as well as the latest s/s 13 collection have been used to decorate the ballet dancers and create a stronger bond between Fashion and Performing arts once again.

This was done previously in the Ballet Russes in the beginning of the century when for the first time, artists such as Sonia Delaunay, Picasso, Chanel and Matisse were used to create props and design costumes.

Although perhaps more avant-garde then, it creates a sense of nostalgia, don't you think?
